The Process
How It Works
Your pup's adventure begins with pickup from your home in our climate-controlled adventure van before heading off to exciting parks, trails, and dog-friendly destinations to sniff, explore, play and make new furry friends. Every experience is thoughtfully planned and supervised by our trained Adventure Guides, giving your dog the freedom to follow their nose, discover new scents, and burn off energy in a safe, enriching environment. After a day full of tail wags and unforgettable adventures, we'll bring your happy, tired explorer home, ready to dream about their next Sniffing Safari!

Pricing and Rates
Each safari adventure is $60 per dog and includes door-to-door pickup with safe transportation in our adventure vehicle, supervised sniffing safari experience, and pup cup treats! (4-5 hour adventure). Have more than one furry family member? Each additional dog from the same household rides for just $45.

What is the difference between Sniffing Safari and a doggy daycare center?
Sniffing Safari is quite different from a traditional doggy daycare, both in experience and benefits. Here are just a few examples: 1) Spending time outdoors and in nature provides a constant change of scenery which will provide your dog with mental stimulation as well as satisfy their curiosity. 2) During group walks, hikes, and nature sniffing, your dog will burn off energy and experience more physical exercise and sensory enrichment than indoor play. 3) We keep your dog in small, well-matched dog groups, which provides safer, more-focused interaction while encouraging teamwork and confidence. 4) Our door-to-door pick-up and drop-off services provides busy pet parents added convenience. 5) Plus, your dog gets to enjoy a fun ride on our climate-controlled adventure vehicle and become a social media star!
What dogs can participate?
If your dog is friendly and comfortable around other dogs, they are likely a good candidate. We will complete a meet & greet prior to their first adventure with Sniffing Safari. During that time, we can assess their compatibility with our service.
Where do the adventures take place?
We visit carefully selected parks, trails and outdoor spaces throughout the Wilmington area. We focus on choosing locations that provide a safe, enriching experience for your dog.
How long are the adventures?
Most adventures last between 4-5 hours, including transportation.
Will my dog be off-leash?
We will only allow off-leash activities in private fenced-in areas. Your dog ’s safety is our utmost priority.
Does my dog need to be vaccinated?
Vaccines must be up to date and flea and tick treatment is HIGHLY recommended. We require proof of Rabies, Bordetella and Distemper. Titers are accepted.
Does my dog need a harness and leash?
Dogs must have a harness on with a back attachment to ride with us as they will be buckled in for safety! Leashes are not needed as we don’t want to get them mixed up. We have our own leashes we will use with the dogs.
